It is my great pleasure to invite you to the International Conference and Annual General Assembly of the European Union of the Livestock and Meat Traders.
The event will be the most important networking meeting of 2021, bringing together all sector participants from Poland and Europe. The European meat and livestock sector is keen to establish a constructive dialogue with Polish and EU institutions in order to give direction to EU agri-food policy in the coming years. Two days of meetings and contributions from experts from around the world will provide delegates from across the sector with a top quality programme and plenty of networking opportunities.
The aim of the conference is to prepare the industry for the big changes that will come in the next years (climate, ASF and C19 pandemics) and to support the meat sector by providing a framework for cooperation between farmers, industry and service providers, as well as showcasing expertise and best practices.
The conference will be opened by the president of the Polish Meat Association Witold Choiński and UECBV president Philippe Borremans.
Some of the topics to be covered at this year's forum are: food of the future in the context of rapidly changing consumption patterns, the political landscape and its implications for the meat sector in the context of the implementation of the Green Deal and farm-to-table strategies, the importance of trade in a world with COVID, and the challenges of the pork sector in times of ASF.
We hope you can join us in Poznań in October 2021.
President of the Polish Meat Association
